Lumistride Limited Commercial Warranty Policy

At Lumistride, we stand behind the precision engineering, advanced metallurgy, and craftsmanship of our ultralight chainless folding electric bikes. Every Lumistride e-bike is manufactured under rigorous quality control standards and undergoes strict testing before leaving our facility.

1. Warranty Period by Product Tier

This Limited Commercial Warranty applies to the original registered owner and commences on the date of official delivery:
  • Lumistride Maverick (M1): Covered by a Two (2) Year Limited Warrant.
  • Lumistride Vector (V1): Covered by a Three (3) Year Extended Executive Warrant.
  • Lumistride Pinnacle (P1): Covered by a Three (3) Year Bespoke Concierge Warranty (includes VIP dedicated support and priority air-shipping for covered parts).

2. What Is Covered

Under normal operating conditions and adherence to the user manual, the following components are warranted against manufacturer defects in materials and workmanship during the applicable coverage period:

A. Frame, Fork & Folding Geometry

  • The magnesium-aluminum alloy chassis (M1) and aerospace-grade high-modulus/forged carbon fiber frames (V1 & P1) are protected against structural cracking, weld fatigue, and folding mechanism failure.

B. Chainless Shaft Drive Mechanism

  • The enclosed spiral bevel gear drive and 3D-printed titanium gear assembly are warranted against mechanical binding, tooth fracture, and internal transmission failure. The system is engineered to be 100% maintenance-free for life.

C. Powertrain & Electronic Ecosystem

  • Brushless Hub Motor (240W): Protected against winding burnout, rotor failure, and internal sensor defects.
  • Pocket-Sized Power Modules (84Wh / 180Wh): Warranted against manufacturing faults and excessive degradation. We guarantee the modular battery packs will retain at least 70% of their rated capacity during the covered warranty term.
  • Controls & Harnessing: LCD/TFT display instrument, torque/speed sensors, electronic controller, and fully hidden internal wiring harnesses.
  • Hydraulic Braking System: Calipers and hydraulic cylinders are protected against manufacturing fluid leakage and mechanical malfunction.

3. What Is Not Covered (Exclusions & Wear and Tear)

To ensure transparent accountability, the following items and conditions are excluded from this limited warranty:
  1. Standard Consumables / Normal Wear & Tear: Tires, inner tubes, brake pads, hydraulic fluid, kickstands, handgrips, and saddle fabrics (covered by a 90-day initial factory defect guarantee only).
  2. Cosmetic Damage: Scratches, scuffs, or clear-coat blemishes resulting from regular daily commuting, road debris, or outdoor storage.
  3. Misuse & Modifications: Damage caused by stunt riding, overloading beyond rated payload, commercial delivery usage, non-standard aftermarket electronic modifications, pressure washing, or immersion beyond the IP65 ingress rating.
  4. Third-Party Repair: Any unauthorized tampering with the sealed motor hub, battery enclosure, or shaft drive housing without written approval from Lumistride.
  5. Accident and Impact Damage: Damage resulting from collisions, crashes, falls, impacts, or other accidents, regardless of whether the incident occurs during riding, transportation, or handling.

4. How to Submit a Warrant Claim

Because Lumistride is built on a highly modular architecture, most repairs do not require shipping the entire 8.5kg bike back to an overseas facility:
  1. Submit a Ticket: Contact our customer support team at support@ridelumi.com with your original Indiegogo Backer ID / Order Number, bike serial number, and a concise video demonstrating the issue.
  2. Remote Diagnostics: Our technical support team will analyze the telemetry/visual data within 48 business hours.
  3. Modular Part Dispatch: Once verified, Lumistride will ship direct plug-and-play modular replacement components (e.g., a replacement battery module, controller, or folding hinge assembly) directly to your door, accompanied by clear step-by-step video installation guides.
  4. Local Authorized Service: If a structural inspection is deemed necessary, Lumistride will coordinate with an authorized regional bicycle repair partner to inspect and service your bike at our expense.

5. Limitation of Liability

Except as provided herein, Lumistride shall not be liable for incidental, indirect, or consequential damages resulting from the use of our micro-mobility products. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary by jurisdiction or country of residence.
